A Happy place for all to enjoy quality food in a relaxing enviroment.
Owner Chris always had a thing for sweet treats and hospitality! Chris was winning gold medals for his service and racking up experience at his family's catering business.
Fast forward a few years (and a lot of deserts) later, Chris had an epiphany while devouring his favourite food on the planet - Gelato! He wanted to start a new adventure, and from there JALB was created!
How It Started!
An Exciting Idea
Chris wanted to create a happy place that scooped up both traditional and innovative flavours, in an environment that was enjoyable and exciting for guests and team members alike!
A Plan
It was Decided!! If chris was going to open this shop, they would make it the best it could be! He decided they would need to learn to make everything from scratch with fresh and local ingredients, build a brilliant team to offer top-notch service, and design the shop to be clean and welcoming for all to enjoy!
A Whole Lot of Work
Chris was dedicated to turning his vision for JALB into a reality! he spent months studying gelato, taking workshops, going to Gelato University, creating JALB's very own original recipes, and trialling flavours! But that wasn't all - the shop needed to be renovated, supliers needed to be found and a team needed to be trained!
A reality
Finally, on the 5th of February 2022, the JALB team welcomed their first customers, many of whom would later become friends! A few years have since passed, and the shop has grown to offer mouth-watering panini and an expanded coffee menu! But Chris and Marina's passion for JALB still grows each day! With their team, they get to continue creating delicious gelato and panini for the community!
